Rolling Benches
Rolling benches and moveable top benches increase production by utilizing more ground area. For new construction, rolling benches/moveable top benches are definitely the grower’s choice. Rolling/moveable top benches properly designed can utilize up to 80% of ground area.
Legs on moveable top benches can be imbedded in concrete or free-standing. Rolling/moveable top benches can accommodate expanded metal, welded wire or ebb and flow tops and most other bench tops. Rolling/moveable top benches come in a variety of styles and qualities.
Support legs can be galvanized angle iron or very strong square steel tubing. Side and end railing varies from 1 inch to 4 inches and come in various types. USGR specializes in designing and engineering rolling/moveable top benches for your greenhouse, whether new construction or upgrading from stationary benches.
Greenhouse and Nursery Rolling Benches
Our unique system allows you to move the access aisle from one side of the greenhouse to the other – and anywhere in between. The square footage gained by eliminating unused aisles can increase your growing area by as much as 30% to a maximum of 84-87% of ground area.
Choose a total system. For maximum greenhouse efficiency, combine the Floating Aisle system with the Ebb and Flow irrigation system, and with the Alcoa Aluminum Fin (under-the-bench) Heating System or other in bench or below bench heating.
Available with wire, expanded metal or ebb and flow tops. Corners rounded to prevent injury and cuts. Special designs for institutions.
Maximize growing area in your greenhouse with rolling benches. Our rolling benches feature heavy gauge galvanized steel legs, 13 gauge expanded metal tops and rollformed components to maximize structural integrity. Tapered roll bars require less effort to move the benches while anti-tip brackets allow movement of cantilevered benches without redistributing weight. Benches are supplied pre-punched to reduce installation labor.
OUTSTANDING FEATURES
- Heavy gauge legs are supplied with a galvanized finish
- Tapered roll bars require less effort to move the benches
- ROLL-FORM components maximize structural integrity
- Thousands of benches are in service throughout the world
VALUE
- Benches are supplied pre-punched, reducing installation labor
- Anti-tip brackets allow movement of cantilevered benches without
redistributing weight - Multiple widths are available
Rolling Benches Optional Features
- Bench Top:
Side and End Rails – Depth can be standard 2-1/4″, or can be 3-1/2″,or 5-1/4″ to prevent plant tip-over.Crosspieces – Spacing can be adjusted to support heavier crops - Most benches are adaptable to expanded metal, welded wire, Ebb and Flow, open mesh, etc.
- Supports can be freestanding on a concrete floor or can be anchored in concrete
- Special Note on Rolling Benches or Floating Aisle Benches. There is often more steel in the bench than in the greenhouse structure. The price of benches depends upon length, width, quantity, and quality.
- Benches are compatible with the Alcoa Fin Tube hot water heating system or other in bench or under bench heating.
Rolling Benches are compatible with our Ebb & Flo Trays
Ebb & Flow benches popularity is increasing for flood hydroponic growing.
The ebb and flow bench is a hydroponic system using ebb and flow plastic tops on greenhouse benches. They are also referred as ebb and flood trays and ebb and flood tables. The ebb and flow bench tops are made of plastic. The ebb & flow benches utilizes a flooding of the ebb and flow trays; depending upon container size and crop, after irrigation water is removed from the ebb and flow trays by special drainage and either recirculated or discharged.
The Ebb and Flow tray system, also known as Flood and Drain, is the world’s most widely recognized professional irrigation system. It is a straightforward and efficient system that is easy to operate and maintain.
Tops are supplied in gray as standard but are available in other colors at an additional charge and shipped directly from the factory in Europe. Minimum order 50 pieces.
