C.12 EX-86 Frost Control

EX-86 Cold Protection Fabric is a durable, woven polypropylene, which blocks wind and helps reduce heat loss. The fabric is semitransparent to allow in sunlight. The fabric diffuses light, helps eliminate the solar “hot spots” associated with traditional poly and is air and water permeable. The fabric is highly UV stabilized for multi season use.

Note: Holes are required for use on flat roof structures.

C.13 EX-02 Clear Frost Control

EX-02-C Clear Cold Protection Fabric is a woven high-density polyethylene, which blocks wind and helps reduce heat loss. The fabric is more transparent than our EX-86, allowing in greater sunlight. EX-02C also diffuses light, which helps eliminate the solar “hot spots” associated with traditional poly and is air and water permeable. High UV stabilization gives the fabric a multi season life-span.

C.14 1212-C Frost Control

1212-C Cold Protection Fabric is a heavy duty, woven, coated polyethylene, which blocks wind and rain and helps reduce heat loss. The fabric is semitransparent and allows about 75% light transmission. 1212-C’s rugged nature makes it well suited for windy applications, and its high UV stabilization ensures a long life-span. C.15 8053 & 8010-Clear Frost Control

8053 & 8010-C Cold Protection Fabrics are durable, lightweight, woven, coated polyethylene. The double sided 1.5 mil. coating allows the fabric to block wind and rain and helps prevent heat loss. The fabric is highly UV stabilized for extended life.

• 8053 allows in 43% sunlight.
• 8010-C allows in 85% sunlight.

C.17 Solar 8 Frost Control

Solar 8 is a lightweight, tough, woven-coated polyethylene sheeting. It is more durable than normal poly films. The film is extremely resistant to ripping or “zippering“. Solar 8 blocks wind and rain and helps prevent heat loss. It also has antifog finish inhibiting fog or haze and also helps to prevent drip formation. Solar 8 is available in two versions high clarity (12% shade) and high diffusion (50% shade). Seams can be heat-sealed for a complete barrier.

Our outdoor row covers for frost control and frost protection Agribon® and Weatherbond crop covers are used in the field for a wide variety of crops. Most common is for temperature control, cold and frost protection. Temperature control and frost protection covers and fabrics are used for over-wintering crops.

Over-wintering capability of Agribon and Weatherbond row crop covers come in a variety of non-woven weights for various temperature and frost protection.

Our Non-woven material also used for insect, disease control and also for shade. Lots of non-woven shade crop covers are used in the summer. Non-woven insect and shade crop row covers for frost protection are popular in Central America and tropics for insect and shade uses.

Whereas the over wintering Agribon® row covers for frost protection and Weatherbond crop covers are used for temperature and cold and frost protection and for insect control at those times of the year as well. As nursery crops are more hardy our cold frost protection fabrics are of particular value in the nursery industry.
