Very Large Continuous Volume Sterilizer
There is a new system to provide automatic sterilization of your potting soils. The unit features a feed hopper with a stirring mechanism that deliv-ers the soil onto a conveyor which consis-tently feeds soil into the steaming unit. The system utilizes a SG20 steaming unit which provides the steam to kill the seeds and bacteria in the soil. Once the soil is steamed to the proper temperature the unit drops the soil back into your containers.
The feed hopper will handle up to a 1000 pound bag of soil mix per filling. The system can process up to 2 cubic yards of material per hour. The entire process is intended to require a minimum amount of labor to oper-ate, and can be managed by one or two employees.
The developer is a leader in the development of soil steaming equipment to assist growers in the sterilization of soil. This new conveyor system allows larger growers the required capacity to take advan-tage of this proven technology.
This heavy duty very large volume steam system starts at $37,000 to $40,000 and can be designed to fit yotu volume requirements, space and production schedule. Lease/purchase option available.
STEAM GENERATOR SG20 SPECIFICATIONS
- Fuel is No. 2 diesel
- 120 volt electric power supply at 20 amps
- Four minute steam at 45 lbs (55° water to 285’steam temperature)
- 42 gallon fuel supply at 2- 2 1/4 gallon per hour
- Highly mobile with pull tongue and auto type steering
- All fittings and hose for steam delivery are furnished
- Vented 8" chimney connection
- Water in at 45 PSI and water supply should be ‘A" hose and a minimum of 3 gallon per minute
- "Clearwave" water conditioning for reduced lime build up
