Expanded Metal Benches
For Greenhouse and Nursery
USGR offers a wide variety of crop growing and display benches for greenhouse, nursery, research center facilities, institutions, reforestations, schools and and indoor growing facilities including stationary, rolling top with expanded metal tops and Ebb & Flo tops for hydroponic growing.
USGR has been instrumental in the development of moveable bench systems and introducing new innovative bench materials and accessories since 1970. USGR has built project in over 80 countries, engineered and designed to our clients specifications. Our greenhouse benches with expanded metal tops are recognized for their durability and strength around the world.
STANDARD ROLLING BENCHES WITH EXPANDED METAL TOPS
Our standard rolling benches are engineered and manufactured with grower’s needs in mind. Starting with space and crop optimization, we engineered and design expanded metal benches for greenhouse, nurseries, garden centers, research facilities, institutions and school greenhouse. Rolling bench systems offer 25-30% more room for plants allowing growers to utilize their space more and increase crop productions. All bench materials are supplied pre-punched for easy installation.
EXPANDED METAL BENCHES STATIONARY BENCHES
Our stationary benches with expanded metal tops are built tough, from the ground up. Legs are heavy gauge galvanized steel. Tube ends are capped to seal out moisture and chemicals. Expanded metal benches steel aluminum trays resist chemicals and water that corrode other benching systems.
- Continuous Air Flow – Our expanded metal benches reduce fungus by allowing unrestricted air passage. These expanded metal benches for greenhouse and nurseries also allows for even distribution of heat and light.
- Long Life – Our expanded metal benches have Hot Dip Zinc coating practically eliminates the need for replacement. Also available plain if customer desires to galvanized or paint locally.
- Drainage – 76% open area allows easy drainage.
- Strong – Pots sit level.
- Versatile – No spacing problems.
- No Maintenance – Soil and water drop right through the bench – eliminating
weed, soil and water accumulation. - Light Weight – 94 lb. per one hundred square feet.
- Replacement – Usually can be adapted to existing frames.
- Low Cost – You’ll find this bench to be more economical than most bench
material now used.
Expanded Metal – 13 gauge – 3/4″
- Our greenhouse and nursery benches are manufactured from 13 ga. carbon steel, hot dip galvanized.
- US Global greenhouse and nursery benches support materials and aluminum extrusion edging by others.
- Our greenhouse and nursery benches are available in stock panels (4′ x6′ or 6′ x 6′) or custom sizes for individual requirement.
EBB & FLOW BENCHES AND
EBB & FLOW TRAYS
Ebb & Flow benches popularity is increasing for flood hydroponic growing that can be placed on top of expanded metal benches.
The ebb and flow bench is a hydroponic system using ebb and flow plastic tops on greenhouse and nursery benches. They are also referred as ebb and flood trays and ebb and flood tables. The ebb and flow bench tops are made of plastic. The ebb & flow benches utilizes a flooding of the ebb and flow trays; depending upon container size and crop, after irrigation water is removed from the ebb and flow trays by special drainage and either recirculated or discharged.
Ebb & Flow Benches Greenhouse Trays
Greenhouses utilize large trays for various reasons, each contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the greenhouse environment. With a greenhouse tray from USGR, you can provide a stable platform for plant growth, preventing overcrowding and ensuring efficient spacing to reduce competition for resources while at the same time minimizing disease risk and improving airflow.
Improving plant growth and saving water with Ebb & Flow Benches
Work with and around your plants without interfering the automatic irrigation cycle.
The Ebb and Flow tray system, also known as Flood and Drain, is the world’s most widely recognized professional irrigation system. It is a straightforward and efficient system that is easy to operate and maintain.
The process is simple:
- Place your plants in the tray, which is regularly filled with nutrient-enriched irrigation water supplied from a central reservoir
- The water is absorbed by the grow media and eventually distributed to the plants
- Excess water will by gravity naturally drain and return to the reservoir for reuse in later irrigation cycles
Tops are supplied in gray as standard but are available in other colors at an additional charge and shipped directly from the factory in Europe. Minimum order 50 pieces.
